There are numerous reasons for this to happen. There could be a personal or health issue with a key member of the estate sale company.
Another reason that happens is that the client is not following the contract. They are removing items from the house or causing other issues for the estate sale company.
The next one is that some companies (not us) will drop one sale if another sale comes along that is better. We have turned down many sales once we have signed a contract and looking at the pictures online want to cry sometimes.
However, the ethical thing to do is to honor the contract. It’s not fair to the client that they agree to your contract and have followed the terms and then be dropped because the grass is greener on the other side. If we decide you are a good fit for San Antonio Estate Sales LLC, we will do your sale and not leave because there is a bigger sale opportunity as long as you follow the terms of the contract.
